After a week off, the Mystery Jam returnes, tanned, rested and ready to notch its eigth victory... in just 132 tries. Sigh. As usual we will be playing for an MP3 download, courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). A hint will be posted on Tuesday (if necessary) and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...
Wednesday Answer: Congrats to NickSalv for being the first to get the 6/19/97 "Caspian." The Blog will be back on Monday with another Mystery Jam...

The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
Joking aside, if its not Caspian it's a song that ends and bleeds into Caspian. Like Steep. This has only occurred twice, the first being the debut of Steep. Since I don't think they jammed Steep out the first time played, I'll guess the second fully knowing I'm 99% wrong:
Steep 12/12/97
11/17/97, 11/21/97, 11/22/97, 11/23/97, 11/28/97, 11/29/97 (just the Runaway Jim), 12/6/97, 12/7/97, 12/11/97, 12/29/97, 12/30/97, 4/2/98, 4/3/98, 4/4/98, 4/5/98.
All SBD recordings, all epic. Anyone who hasn't heard every one of these shows should download them immediately.
Also, if you haven't been following LawnMemo's Daily Ghost adventure, go to his site NOW (he's almost done!). The Ghost from this show (Daily Ghost #3) is available for download. The MP3 begins with this incredible funk section at the end of Stash that segues smoothly into Ghost, which is quite "trippy" to say the least. Incredibly tight yet loose playing going on there (if that's possible).
Still, I have to say, GET THE WHOLE SHOW/TOUR. It's a nice precursor to the magic that would follow.
